Newcastle's Razorblade Smile also features in our Birth of the True compilation LP with superb It Kills Me Inside. Member including Pete Dale of Slampt label and the band Milky Wimpshake.
This mini album includes a faithful cover version of McCarthy's Red Sleeping Beauty.
The band obtained the right to release this cover by accidentally bumping into one of McCarthy in a pub - and agreement was made. Or so we were told.
We went to see them play live in Newcastle once. I remember it well, just how so cool they were. They looked good, the whole gig was almost lethal. They are the loudest of Sugarfrost releases, but they too are good pop songs. Just a bit different in style of delivery. We can still enjoy this record as we did in those days, which must be a good sign.
This is the only Sugarfrost release the band themselves took control of the design.
