Story

This first release came soon after the Love Parade / Venus Peter flexi disc that came out on Akiko's Boshi Label (see Frosty 16). Pure at this point was essentially Graeme Elston's solo project, to play the songs which aren't quite suitable for his band Love Parade.

After getting Revolver distribution (thanks to Martin Whitehead of Subway Organization), this single sold out 500 copies within 6 months, making this the most collectable of all Sugarfrost releases. I can't remember if it was this single or Pure T-shirt, but either or both of them had been seen on Brookside (famous TV-series based in Liverpool).

Sleeve picture of Graeme was taken at the dell by Liverpool Cathedral.

And the handwriting of "Pure" is NOT an intentional copy of the sleeve of Lightening Seeds' single "Pure", who are also from Liverpool. How did we miss, I don't know, but we didn't own that great single at that time!

The B-side track Me and the Almost Beautiful Girl had gone viral on YouTube some years ago, had well over 200,000 views before it was deleted. Weird, eh.
